After earning his Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1990, Dr. Myron Wasiuta worked alongside Dr. Church at Coleman Eye Associates of Spotsylvania County for over 17 years. There, he gained invaluable experience managing patients with both refractive and medical eye conditions and ultimately, developed an interest in caring for patients suffering from glaucoma, dry eyes and restricted vision.
One of just a limited number of optometrists in the area who provides services for the Virginia Department for the Visually Impaired, Dr. Wasiuta has also fit patients with bioptic telescopes, special glasses that assist those with vision loss to drive during the day.
Dr. Wasiuta is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, the Virginia Academy of Optometry and has served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Mary Washington. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences, Dr. Wasiuta enjoys hiking the trails at Fredericksburg Spotsylvania National Military Park and teaching astronomy to local children. He and his wife, Terry, have four children.
